An Easy way of short circuiting the Conservative's Separtist Talking Point

"Conservative Leader Stephen Harper says he needs a strong result in the election to ward off resurgent sovereignists in Quebec."

http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/politics/article/976093--harper-says-majority-needed-to-stop-sovereignists

Now every time Harper trouts out that line, the Liberals need to fire back with this.

Stephen Harper "Whether Canada ends up as one national government or two national governments or several national governments, or some other kind of arrangement is, quite frankly, secondary in my opinion"

and Harper's Separation, Alberta-style: It is time to seek a new relationship with Canada

The only problem is that it is the Libs through corruption that has created the BQ strength in the first place.

Iggy quipped just this week during the french language debate that he didn't care if people there called themselves Canadian or Quebecer first.

The Lib party is near single digit support among Francophones. The party is a fringe off the island.

Don't forget that Duceppe also has stated that a Cons. majority would hurt their cause. That in itself a good reason to hope that we get one.

Liberals brought us the 1995 nightmare. We almost lost the country.
No thanks.

Hey Gene, aren't you supposed to be dead or something? Or are you seriously calling anons cowards when your name just happens to be the same as a dead American celebrity and your profile has no other identifying characteristics? If you're so brave why not post some identifiable information? Coward!

Duceppe wants a weak ineffective Ignatieff government,
to further his cause...breaking up our country,
something he said he can not do with a Harper majority:

''..Duceppe said blocking a Harper majority is the first condition for achieving sovereignty.

The second condition is the return to power in Quebec of a Parti Québécois government.

“If we want Quebec to become a country we have to have a majority in Ottawa representing Quebecers and we also have to have a sovereignist government in Quebec,” Duceppe said.

Without openly divulging Bloc-PQ strategy, Duceppe added: “One thing I know, if we want a country, we have to have those two conditions fulfilled.”

And down the rabbit hole we go. The backdrop to the rise of the Bloc and the 1995 was Meech and Charlottetown and that would be Mulroney.
